William E. Davis, CHS-IV, MBCI, CGEIT, IDLS

Bill has over 30 years of IT, business and emergency management experience. He is the author of The Foundation Guide – Management Tools for the Serious Executive©, a book of processes and templates that unlocks corporate potential and creates the best place for people to be. It is in its 6th printing since 1999 with over 300 companies in the USA, Europe and South America using it. He has lectured and consulted in the United States and Japan on the uses of manufacturing and industrial engineering techniques to improve IT organization effectiveness. He earned executive roles at American Airlines, Nevada Highway Patrol and Bank of America. He has a BS in Police Science and Administration from Washington State University and an MBA from Golden Gate University at San Francisco.

He was an Officer and Paratrooper in the United States Army Field Artillery and Military Police Corps. He is the Co-Founder, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer of Magellan Associates LLC, a firm of former CIOs each with over 25 years of successful experience. As a co-founder and faculty member of the University of Miami Information Technology Executive Institute, he trains and coaches Executives from around the USA, Caribbean and Latin America on leadership, governance, security, business continuity, emergency management and excellence in organization performance.

His Emergency Management experience includes; Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Structure Fires, Wildland Fires, Mountain Rescue, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Flash Floods, HAZMAT, Emergency Medical First Response, Civil Unrest, War and the Mexico City Earthquake.

His certifications include; Business Continuity (MBCI) by BCI, Emergency Communications III (AREC) by ARRL, IT Governance (CGEIT) by ISACA, Advanced Disaster Life Support (ADLS) by AMA & ACEP, Ohio Medical Reserve Corps (OMRC). He is a member of ASIS.
