Eric Nelson, MBB, CHS-III

Mr. Nelson is a new board member, receiving an appointment in 2010. As the Director – Information Technology Department, full time faculty and professor at the National Graduate School of Quality Management in Falmouth, MA he has over 25 years experience in the Information Technology, data mining and critical infrastructure engineering fields.

He is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt with additional certifications in ITIL and project management. Eric occasionally instructs graduate and under-graduate courses in statistics, lean six sigma and project management for organizations such as Boeing, NASA, US Coast Guard, DoD and the US Postal Service. Prior to joining the National Graduate School and University, he was a Principal with Bank of America Investments managing technology operations for the Western U.S., Latin America and the Caribbean. As Director of IT Operations for Philips Semiconductor N.A., he led the organization to achieve the first ISO certification for an IT department in the U.S.

In 2007, Mr. Nelson completed an in-depth study for the U.S. Postal Inspection Service in support of Aviation Security / National Preparedness which included analysis of internal systems and data mining for delivery to the Postmaster General.

Eric is a FAA Certified pilot, SSI Scuba Search and Rescue First Responder and member of the American Society of Military Engineers. He served 8 years in the U.S. Navy, 3 years as direct staff to the Commander in Chief, Allied Forces Southern Europe (AFSOUTH).
