About ABISCF

The mission of the American Board of Information Security and Computer Forensics is to energize, improve, and educate members across the nation with innovative lifelong learning opportunities that become intellectual and human potential in the cyber security and computer forensics field. The Board seeks to help members expand their knowledge, skills, and abilities within their chosen avocation to the benefit and betterment of the members, their employers, community, nation, and world as a whole. The Board thoroughly and accurately administers, conducts, and executes certification reviews and examinations to qualified professionals for participation in the program.

Certification

Certification Requirements

  • Be a member in good standing with the American Board for Certification in Homeland Security
  • Be a US Citizen
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a related field
  • Submit a portfolio documenting background and experience which should include the following:
    • Current Resume
    • Copy of degree(s) and/or transcripts (if applicable)
    • Copies of relevant certification and/or training certificates
    • Documentation of published articles and/or presentations
    • Teaching experience and/or speaking engagements
    • 3 letters of recommendation

Upon successful completion of prerequisites and examination, individuals will be awarded the certification.
